Jennifer Voss is a business consultant with over 35 years of business experience. She bases her practice on her GE training, business management, and team leadership experience. Jennifer has worked with businesses across the United States on management succession, organizational structure, leadership development, and employee engagement.
Working with family-owned businesses has become her passion. She enjoys the challenge of building leadership teams, improving communication, developing the next generation of leaders, and coaching teams on management succession and other business challenges. When working with teams, Jennifer integrates herself into the business so she can be effective at establishing a sustainable common purpose, clarifying roles and responsibilities, goal setting, performance tracking, and implementing effective operating rhythms.
Jennifer holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Cleveland State University and a M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. She also completed GE Management Training focused on continuous improvement, business management, and leadership. She is a Six Sigma certified Master Black Belt and high school chemistry teacher.
Jennifer held many challenging and rewarding positions during her tenure at GE where she advanced from a laboratory technician to one of only 50 female Sr. Executives. While at GE, Jennifer lead part of the GE Women’s Network, started a grass roots initiative to improve the work environment, taught 6 Sigma, actively mentored young professionals, and established a reputation for building strong business teams. She also got a couple of patents on lamp design and manufacturing process and developed a passion for process improvement.
Jennifer is married to Elwyn Voss and their blended family consists of 8 children, 7 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. When not at work she is constantly busy. She loves to travel especially to some place she has never been! Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family and is always cooking for everybody. She enjoys boating on the St. Lawrence River, riding motorcycle, snowmobiling and skiing. She believes in working hard but playing hard too!
